"It was a fortuitous meeting, like all those that enchant us. A mass of immoderate perspectives, material mixed with light, enhanced by the pure line of the horizon, reminds the cautious eye of the walker of the obviousness of a known face. Capturing this reminiscence, the photographer portrays a Spirit. Beyond time, through space, two notions that he so fiercely contributed to bringing to light, Picasso, as usual, appears where we least expect him. The visual arts have given us some of the finest attempts to materialize thought. It is up to us, like the proud Andalusian, to perceive, under the images apparent fixity, all the movements concealed, all the possibilities contained."
