ELEMENTS

ELEMENTS is a series that reveals itself in two phases. First in a contemplative way, letting oneself be absorbed by the spaces, the textures, the shapes, the play of light, the rhythm of this nature captured by exclusively monochrome photographs somewhere in between silver black and white and deep blue faded cyanotypes.

These either open or more oppressive spaces, these shapes and textures revealing themselves as a piece of abstract painting, where the photographer willingly plays with our perception of proportions, inevitably lead our imagination through emotional territories specific to each of us.

These photographs illustrate this incredible disparity of rhythms, shaping the perpetual transformation of nature, like the surface of the sea, always in motion, and the rock of the coasts, slowly eroded by the elements. These photographic spaces with no actual human presence also arise thoughts about their preservation, about our tendency to anthropocentrism, about our place in the cycle of life and about our scale in space and time.
